Campaign For Shane 5k

The Campaign For Shane 5k is an annual run/walk event held in Owosso, Michigan, honoring PFC Shane Cantu, who was killed in action in Afghanistan. The 10th edition, taking place on August 24, 2025, features a fast, accurately measured 5k course on paved streets through Owosso. The race offers chip timing, live results, and awards for top finishers across multiple age groups.

Participants receive a race shirt with early registration, and a free breakfast follows the event. Proceeds support local veterans. Packet pickup is available the day before at the Owosso Farmers Market and on race day.
