Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run
The Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run, held annually in Northeast Ohio, is a fast, flat, and scenic ultramarathon along the Towpath Trail. Starting and finishing in Akron, the course follows the Ohio & Erie Canalway, running south briefly before heading north to Canal Basin Park in Cleveland, then returning to Akron. The trail is primarily crushed limestone with some asphalt, featuring about 2,300 feet of elevation gain.
Aid stations are spaced every 4-5.5 miles, offering water, electrolytes, and food. This USATF-certified race is a Western States qualifier and supports trail preservation and the Ohio & Erie Canal Corridor, enhancing local green spaces and community resources.
