Cape Fear 24 Hour
The Cape Fear 24 Hour endurance run takes place in Lillington, North Carolina, on a USATF certified 0.59-mile asphalt loop surrounding local baseball fields. The mostly flat course features one small incline and is well-lit at night by park lights, eliminating the need for headlamps. Participants can run any distance they choose over 24 hours, supported by a fully stocked aid station offering typical ultra foods, drinks, and later, hot meals like hamburgers and pizza.
Ample parking and tent space near cars are available, with restrooms close to the course. Costume runners are encouraged, with a special award for the most miles run in costume. Proceeds benefit Buddy Backpack of Harnett County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
