Cape Fear 24 Hour
The Cape Fear 24 Hour is an endurance running event held in Lillington, North Carolina, featuring a USATF certified 0.59-mile asphalt loop around local baseball fields. The mostly flat course includes one small incline and is well-lit at night by park lights, eliminating the need for headlamps. Participants can run as much or as little as they like, supported by a fully stocked aid station offering typical ultra foods, drinks, and later, hot meals like hamburgers and pizza.
The event encourages costume running with a special award and provides ample parking and tent space near the course. Proceeds benefit the Buddy Backpack program of Harnett County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
