The Capitan Mountain 34 Hour is an endurance running event held in Capitan, New Mexico, celebrating the legacy of Smokey Bear. The main challenge offers 34 hours of running with options to complete 100 miles or 80 miles, both earning special buckles, alongside shorter distances starting from 25K. The course features soft, runnable 4-mile loops with a central aid station and a crew-optional setup, suitable for both first-time ultrarunners and seasoned mountain veterans.
