The Capitan Mountain 34 Hour is an endurance running event held in Capitan, New Mexico, celebrating the legacy of Smokey Bear. The main race offers a 34-hour challenge with options to complete 100 miles or 80 miles, both earning special buckles, along with shorter distances starting at 25K. The course features soft, runnable 4-mile loops with a central aid station and a crew-optional design, suitable for both first-time ultra runners and seasoned mountain veterans.
