Captain Bill Gallagher Island Run
The Captain Bill Gallagher 10 Mile Island Run is a ten‑mile evening race on the barrier island in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, hosted by the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol. The flat, traffic‑free course starts at the Beach Patrol Headquarters on the boardwalk at 44th Street, runs north along the boardwalk to the 29th Street ramp, then onto the beach for a Strathmere turn, returns to the 57th Street ramp, to Townsend's Inlet and back to finish in front of the headquarters. About 2.5 miles on a boardwalk/macadam surface with the rest on hard-packed sand at low tide.
