Captain Bill Gallagher Island Run

Captain Bill Gallagher 10 Mile Island Run is an evening coastal race in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. The flat, traffic-free course starts at the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol headquarters on the boardwalk, runs north to the 29th Street ramp, then onto the beach to Strathmere, returns to the boardwalk at Townsend’s Inlet, and finishes back at the headquarters for a ten-mile loop. About 2.5 miles are on a blacktop boardwalk, with the remaining distance on hard-packed beach sand during low tide.
