The event has a participant capacity of 600. Entry fees for 2026 are listed as: 50k $135 (rises to $145 after April 30; $160 day of) and 25k $115 (rises to $125 after April 30; $140 day of). Ultrasignup registration fees and Vermont state use tax are added to all registrations. Refunds are available minus a $25 service fee if requested by May 15; after May 15 no refunds are offered. The race has a 9 hour overall time limit. Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers for both distances; no cash prizes will be awarded. Finishers awards are listed as TBD.

Course and logistics

The course is primarily wide, hard-packed dirt trail that rolls through highland pastures and hardwood forest and circumnavigates the Trapp Family Lodge trail system at the foot of Mount Mansfield. The 25k is a single loop; the 50k is two 25k loops. Each 25k loop contains approximately 2,500 ft of elevation gain and 2,500 ft of loss, for about 5,000 ft total gain/loss on the 50k.

There are three aid stations at miles 4.6, 9.4, and at the 25k start/finish area; 25k runners will access two on-course stations. The event is cup-free; runners should carry personal hydration and fuel as needed. A designated area at the start/finish will hold 50k drop bags. Driving access on course is available only at the start/finish; crew-provided runner aid is permitted only at aid stations. Packet pickup is available June 19 at the Von Trapp Brewery Bierhall (Ibex Room). The course may cross fenced pasture areas with cattle; entrants should avoid entering fenced-in areas.
