Race details
The event benefits the Blountstown Fire Department Scholarship Fund, which provides a graduating senior with a scholarship to attend a local fire academy. The 5K course is certified, mostly shaded, and closed to traffic. Electronic chip timing is used and results are posted on Itsyourrace. Age-group awards are given three deep for age brackets from 0-9 up to 70+ in five-year increments. Participants receive Catfish Crawl t-shirts.
Packet pickup and registration are available the Friday night before at the fire station, 17276 NW Angle Street, Blountstown, FL 32424, and on race day at the Depot. The Kid’s One Mile Fun Run is free for children who register on race day and will receive a finisher's medal; it begins after the last 5K finisher has crossed the line.
