Life;Story overview
Life;Story is an annual run/walk held during Suicide Prevention Month in September. The event brings communities together in Florida, Illinois, and Tennessee and offers a virtual participation option. It aims to raise awareness about suicide and to support people affected by suicide and thoughts of suicide. The event name includes a semicolon to symbolize continuation - there is more to one’s life and story beyond crisis.
Proceeds from Life;Story provide mental health and addictions services at Centerstone for people with little or no resources. The event also produces photo and video coverage that may be used in Centerstone communications.
