The Cheers to New Year's 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for January 1, 2026, at Gadsden Park, 6901 S Macdill Ave, Tampa, FL 33611. The event includes a 5k run/walk and a separate "Volunteer and Run" option. The regular entry price for the 5k is $30, with a youth price of $25 for ages 1-20; an earlier listed price was $50. The 5k entry fee increases after November 19, 2025. The Volunteer and Run option is offered at $15, has limited spots, and its registration closes on January 1, 2026.
Race services and awards
The race is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing and results will be posted online. Registration includes a short sleeve ring spun cotton T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a chip-timed race bib. A post-race beer is listed among participant items. Packet pickup will be available the day of the event. Age group awards will be presented live to the top three in each 10-year age group (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over). The official course map will be posted later.
