Event
The Cheers to New Year's 5k Run/Walk takes place in person on January 1, 2026 at Gadsden Park, 6901 S Macdill Ave, Tampa, FL 33611. The event includes a 5k race and a "Volunteer and Run" option.
Registration and race features
The standard entry fee for the 5k is $50 and a reduced price of $25 applies to ages 1-20. The 5k price increases after October 8, 2025. The Volunteer and Run option is listed at $15 and is shown as having limited spots.
Registration includes a short sleeve ring spun cotton T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a chip-timed race bib. The race is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results will be posted online. Packet pickup is available the day of the event starting one hour before the race start. Age group awards will be presented live to the top three finishers in each 10-year category: 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over.
