Childish Nonsense

Childish Nonsense is a trail running event held in Palatine, Illinois, at Deer Grove Forest Preserve West. It offers multiple distances including a 50-mile, 50K, 25K, and 10K, with courses consisting of laps on a mostly wide, non-technical trail. Runners encounter a single aid station at the start/finish area every 5.5 miles, where crew support is allowed.

The event encourages a playful atmosphere with "shenanigans" throughout the day to awaken participants' inner child. It promotes inclusivity, offering free entries to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ athletes, and welcomes all gender identities. Cutoff time for all races is 8 PM.
