Course and logistics
Courses run mostly on single-track trail using the Ice Age Trail and the Circle Trail. The 50K and 20 Miler are out-and-back routes marked with pink flags staked on the right outbound and on the left inbound; the 10K is a loop marked with pink flags. Runners pass views of more than 20 lakes and encounter varied terrain including small hills, a notable climb near the finish, boardwalk sections, and several bridges.
Aid stations are placed along each distance and supply items such as energy bars, salted nut rolls, fruit snack, cookies, Oreos, Gatorade, and water. The 50K offers drop bags at the turnaround; drop bags are not available for the 20 Miler or 10K. Porta-potties are located at the start/finish and at the 50K turnaround. Packet pickup is the Friday night before the race and on race morning. Participants are asked not to use external music on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
