Event overview
The Christmas Lane 5k is a community 5-kilometre run/walk in Thomaston, Georgia. The course begins and ends at Silvertown Baptist Church, travels down Christmas Lane, passes through Greatest Generation Park and the historic Silvertown subdivision. Residents on Christmas Lane decorate each December; the event takes place amid decorated homes and holiday lights. The event is organized by the Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce and revolution running. Proceeds benefit the Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce.
Registration, entry and amenities
Registration opens in July and the early price of $40 applies through October 31; the fee increases to $50 after that date. There is a student discount of 20% for ages 11-18 (code Student20) and a $30 option for children 10 and under (code Child30). A long-sleeve t-shirt is offered; the deadline for shirt orders is November 21. Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers, top male and female masters, and the top three male and female in each age group. Age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. After the race the Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce will serve homemade vegetable soup, hot chocolate, and coffee. The event location is 300 W Goodrich Ave, Thomaston, GA 30286.
