The CHRISTmas Ugly Sweater 5K takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Edwardsville, IL at Trinity Lutheran Ministries, 600 Water Street. The event offers both an in-person race and a virtual option that is open from December 13 to December 20, 2025.

The listed entry price for each event is $25. Prices increase after November 30, 2025. The in-person race uses a new route with a newly paved road. Shirt choices include a long-sleeved dry-fit option or a cotton t-shirt. Chip timing and RaceJoy tracking are available. Twenty percent of registration fees will support Glen-Ed Food Pantry and Neighbors in Need. The event will be held rain, snow, or shine. Early packet pickup is scheduled for December 12, 2025, and race day packet pickup is scheduled for December 13, 2025, both at Trinity Lutheran Ministries.
Awards and extras
In-person awards include plaques for overall male and female finishers and medals for the top three in each age category: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-74, and 75+. Virtual 5K medals will be awarded to the top finisher in each age category. Registrants who sign up by November 30 are guaranteed a finisher medal and shirt. Post-race sweater contests offer gift card prizes for Ugliest Sweater, Most Christmas Spirit, and Best Group Sweater Theme for groups of four or more.
