Event overview
Chupacabra Endurance is a 10-hour running event on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Bluhm County Park, South 1100 West, Westville, IN. Runners receive a limited-edition t-shirt and a wooden Chupacabra medal. The event references cryptozoology and the chupacabra in its theme.
Format and rules
The course is a trail loop of 4–4.1 miles with a small pavement section. The clock is started every hour and each runner must finish that loop within one hour; failure to finish a loop in time results in removal from the race. Winners are determined by who runs the final loop the fastest. No human or animal pacers are allowed; violation leads to disqualification. The start/finish area includes a shelter where participants may set up a personal crew station. Event organizers provide Gatorade, water, and snacks.
Prizes and registration
Chips are awarded only after completing four loops. Red chips are given for completing 4, 5, or 6 loops; blue chips for completing 7, 8, or 9 loops. Chips can be exchanged at prize tables for items such as shirts, mugs, gift cards, or free entries for Crazy Legs Race Series events. Registration fees vary by date: Early Bird $66.18 (Sep 1–Dec 30), $71.53 (Dec 31–Mar 30), $87.58 (Mar 31–Jul 30), and $103.63 (Jul 31–Aug 27).
