ALYESKA : Cirque Series (July 25, 2026)

The event takes place in Girdwood, AK at Alyeska Resort. The course is 6.1 miles with 3,912' ft vert and the field is capped at 700 runners. The race uses a disposable timing chip on the back of the bib managed by Competitive Timing / Strabel. Each competitor receives a snapback, a logo bib and medal, a giveaway ticket, a sponsor swag bag and professional race photos. Hydration is provided at one aid station on course and at the finish. Registration categories are Sport, Expert and Pro; a Volunteer option is listed. Prize structures and special recognitions are published for each race and for overall season standings. Points are awarded to the top 20 finishers per event (1st = 50 points, 2nd = 40 points, 3rd = 36 points, down to 20th = 2 points).

Course and safety information

The course begins near sea level at the DayLodge and follows Tanaka Cat Road to "TV Corner," then up through the lower bowl to the Silvertip single-track. Runners climb Center Ridge to Teacup Bowl and continue to the Headwall at about 3,800 ft. The route runs along the Headwall ridge and descends toward the MAX weather station near 3,300 ft, then drops through loose rock into the wooded Max's Mountain trail and returns to Tanaka Cat Road and the DayLodge finish. The organizers state the route is steep and technical. Competitors must inspect Center Ridge prior to race day and there is a strict cut-off of 50 minutes at the beginning of Center Ridge. The course will be marked; runners are asked to follow flagging and marshal directions and to use caution on steep or loose sections.
