Coal Miner is a rugged, self-supported ultramarathon held in Roslyn, Washington. The 51.3-mile course climbs about 10,100 feet, linking Cle Elum Ridge, Sasse Ridge, Jolly Mountain, Jolly Creek, and the Middle and West Fork Teanaway rivers before looping back to Roslyn via the Big Sandy Trails. The event emphasizes back-to-basics running with minimal aid and no course markings, relying on runners’ self-sufficiency and pre-loaded GPX tracks.

Start is at Roslyn Pioneer Park. Aid stations offer water and basic calories as a bonus to a self-supported kit. Finish time may depend on selfies at Jolly Mountain and other spots, with a 16-hour cutoff. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
