Cockaponsett Trails to a Cure
The Cockaponsett Trails to a Cure is a trail running event held in Chester, Connecticut, within the Cockaponsett State Forest. Participants can choose between a 4-mile or a 9-mile race, with the shorter distance comprising the first part of the longer course. The trail features natural terrain including roots, rocks, muddy sections, and several hills, with the initial half-mile on a road to help spread out runners before entering the trails.
Water stations are available at miles 2, 4, 6, and 7. The event is part of the Blue Blazed Trail Race series, and all proceeds benefit PanCAN in memory of Steve Hancock. Registration is free for runners aged 75 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
