Community First Thanksgiving Distance Classic

The Community First Thanksgiving Distance Classic is a popular annual running event held in Jacksonville, Florida, at Pickwick Plaza. Celebrating its 42nd year in 2025, the race features a half marathon, 5K, and a one-mile Turkey Trot, attracting over 3,500 participants each Thanksgiving morning. The half marathon course finishes at Pickwick Park Shopping Center, maintaining its traditional endpoint since the race's inception in 1984.

The event supports the Mandarin Food Bank and funds the development of a new three-mile running/walking path in Aterro Recreation Park. Participants receive a moisture-wicking long-sleeve shirt, finisher medals, and enjoy a festive post-race celebration with food, drinks, and a complimentary beer at a nearby pub.
