The Community First Thanksgiving Distance Classic takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Pickwick Plaza, 9850 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL. The event offers the following distances:

This is the 42nd running of the race, which began in 1984 with 500 half marathon runners. The finish location remains at Pickwick Park Shopping Center. The event typically draws over 3,000 participants and serves as a fundraiser for the Mandarin Food Bank and for a new three-mile running and walking path in Aterro Recreation Park on Sunbeam Road.
Logistics and awards
Race packets are available for pick up at selected 1st Place Sports locations on Tuesday, November 25 (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and Wednesday, November 26 (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Race swag includes a long-sleeve moisture-wicking shirt, a finisher medal, a race bib, and a goodie bag. Digital clocks are placed at each mile and the finish; all miles and turns are marked. Traffic control is provided by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and there is a 3.5 hour course limit.
Entry fees vary by registration date; fees include a $1 donation to the Mandarin Food Bank. A $10 reduction applies for participants 17 and under and 65 and over for the 5K and Half during registration. There are no refunds. All finishers receive a medal. Half marathon cash prizes are listed for top finishers and masters, and age-group awards are given for both the 5K and half marathon.
