About the race
Cottonmouth 8 Mile & Beerlay is an 8-mile trail race at Lakewood Nature Preserve in Greenville, SC. The 4 laps consist of 2-mile grassy loops with rolling hills and wildlife, centered around a rustic race HQ barn. Runners can go solo or compete in relay teams of 2–4.
Before each lap, participants drink a beer from a BYOB pool in a BYOB Russian Roulette twist. 21+ for drinking; non-alcoholic options available. The post-race party includes music, pizza, and Beer Olympics with games such as beer pong, tug-of-war, and cornhole.
