Creede Mountain Run
The Creede Mountain Run, held in Creede, Colorado, is a challenging mountain race established in 1987 that celebrates the transition from summer to fall. Set in the scenic San Juan Mountains, it offers four race distances: 2 miles, 12 miles, 22 miles, and a 50K ultra. The courses start in the historic mining town of Creede at 8,850 feet elevation, featuring steep climbs through rugged terrain, old mining sites, and breathtaking views including the Continental Divide at 12,500 feet.
The 50K extends beyond the 22-mile route with additional single-track trails. The event is known for its tough altitude gains, scenic beauty, and a supportive small-town atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
