Creede Mountain Run
The Creede Mountain Run, held in Creede, Colorado, is a scenic and challenging mountain race established in 1987. It offers four race distances: 2 miles, 12 miles, 22 miles, and a 50K ultra marathon. Starting at 8,850 feet elevation in the historic mining town, the course ascends through Willow Creek Canyon and past old mining sites, including steep climbs known as "the Pitch" and "Heartbreak Hill." The 22-mile race reaches the Continental Divide at 12,500 feet, while the 50K extends further along Miners Creek before returning to town.
Runners experience breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains and variable mountain weather, making it a true test of endurance and spirit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
