Event overview
The Crimson Canyons Ultra takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, on the Pahvant Range adjacent to Richfield, Utah. The race uses trails within Fishlake National Forest with permission from the forest. Support partners include a local bottling plant that provides drinks, Hammer Nutrition as a product partner, and a partner hotel located five blocks from the start. Registration for 2026 is not yet open.
Courses and logistics
- 60 km - Summit White Pine Peak, then descend the 18-mile Spinal Tap Trail.
- 21 km (1/2 Marathon) - Climb four bike trails, run Cottonwood Canyon rim, then Lower Spinal Tap.
- 10 km - Run Big Red, Faulty, Cairn-Age, and Tank Run Trails.
Elevation gain and time limits: 60 km 6,980 ft (2,100 m), time limit 15 hours; 21 km 2,370 ft (722 m), time limit 8 hours; 10 km 1,226 ft (374 m), time limit 4 hours. Courses run on single-track trails of the Pahvant Mountain Bike Trail System and remote sections of the Paiute ATV Trail system. The Pahvant MTB system includes more than 100 miles of single track created between 2019 and 2022. White Pine Peak is listed at 10,200 feet on the 60 km route.
