About the race
The Currahee Challenge 5K/10K takes place in Toccoa, Georgia, at the base of Currahee Mountain along Ayersville Road near the Currahee Memorial. This challenging event offers a 5K Run/Walk and a 10K Run, both on a strenuous uphill/downhill unpaved access road. The 5K turns around about halfway up the mountain at a water stop; the 10K includes a steep final ascent with a turnaround marked at a historic elevation marker near the summit.
The race honors paratrooper history linked to the Currahee Military Museum, and is part of the Black Bag Race Series. Finish line management is provided by Classic Race Services; combo pricing is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
