Cutthroat Classic
The Cutthroat Classic is an 11-mile singletrack trail run through the North Cascades, following the iconic Pacific Crest Trail over Cutthroat Pass. Starting at Rainy Pass (4,870 feet elevation), runners climb steadily for five miles to Cutthroat Pass (6,835 feet), then descend four miles to Cutthroat Lake, finishing with a gradual two-mile downhill to the Cutthroat Creek Trailhead (4,480 feet). The race offers spectacular high alpine mountain views and a challenging course with many switchbacks.
Limited to 400 participants, the event features six self-seeding waves catering to various paces, including elite runners. Aid stations, shuttle services, and post-race refreshments enhance the experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
