Event details
The Dairy Discovery 5K & Fun Run is the sixth annual event connecting the community with local dairy farmers and products. The in-person program includes a 5K race and a free fun run for children. A VIRTUAL 5K option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person. The race course begins and ends at the Milk Pail at Willow Bend Farms.

Prizes are planned for the top five women and top five men. The event includes a post-race awards ceremony, refreshments, activities, and lawn games at the Milk Pail.
Location and logistics
The event day is September 12, 2026, at the Milk Pail, 1099 County Rd. 7, Shortsville, NY 14548. In-person entry fees are listed in a range between $20 and $30; the virtual entry is listed around $30 to cover shipping. Entries include custom 5K apparel and a finisher medal. Registrants who register by July 31, 2026 are guaranteed apparel size; sizes after that date are available first come, first served at packet pickup.
