Dam Triathlon
The Dam Triathlon, held at Lake Murray Public Park in Lexington, South Carolina, is a popular sprint-international distance event entering its 15th season in 2025. The race features a 1000-meter lake swim starting near the dam's spillway, a 21-mile bike course with two loops crossing the dam four times, and a unique 6-kilometer out-and-back run entirely on the dam. Water temperatures around 73°F make wetsuits optional.
The event offers multiple race formats including individual triathlon, relay, aquabike (swim-bike), and aquathlon (swim-run). Known for its scenic views and athlete-friendly atmosphere, the Dam Tri is part of the South Carolina Triathlon Series and is located just minutes from downtown Columbia.
