Entry to the 100 Miler requires verifiable evidence of one of the following: completion of a 100 mile trail race with at least 15,000 ft vertical gain within the last 5 years; completion of a 100 km trail race with at least 10,000 ft vertical gain within the last 3 years; or completion of two 50 mile or longer trail races with at least 7,000 ft vertical gain within the last 3 years. Entrants who lack these results may submit GPX data and a supporting letter for discretionary review.

Pacer rules: pacers are allowed starting at Wright Meadow Aid Station (Mile 51.6) and may be swapped at Summit Prairie (Mile 71.4) and Juniper Ridge (Mile 93.7). Only one pacer may accompany a runner at a time. Pacers must check in, sign a waiver, wear a pacer bib, remain with their runner, may not transport supplies except at aid stations, and must follow course and permit rules.

100 Miler entrants must complete and document eight hours of volunteer service before race check-in. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
