About the race
DC Safe Half is a Georgetown-based running event featuring a half marathon and a 5k along the C&O Canal path in Washington, DC. The courses run on a light gravel/dirt road with minimal elevation change and follow an out-and-back route beside the nation’s Capital. The race benefits DC SAFE, a survivor-centered nonprofit supporting crisis intervention and advocacy.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical shirt, and chip timing. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Live results are posted, photos may be shared, and awards honor overall and age-group placers.
