Deacon Dash for Down Syndrome

Registration

The Deacon Dash for Down Syndrome is an annual fundraising running event held at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds in North Carolina. Celebrating its 9th year in 2026, the event features a unique 3.21-mile race distance, combining a traditional 5K with an additional 0.11 miles to symbolize Trisomy 21, the genetic condition causing Down syndrome. Participants can choose between a Fun Run and the 5K race, both designed to be inclusive and supportive of individuals with Down syndrome.

The race fosters a welcoming atmosphere to raise awareness and funds for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem, with packet and t-shirt pickup available before and on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
