About the race
Death By a Mile is a unique endurance running event held at Skeetawk Ski Area in Palmer, Alaska. Participants run as many one-mile loops as possible within set time frames of 12, 6, or 4 hours, with options for morning or afternoon sessions. The course features the Meadow Loop trail atop Skeetawk in Hatcher Pass, combining a gravel path and a scenic trail loop that runners can complete clockwise or counterclockwise.
The event encourages a social atmosphere with aid stations providing water, hydration, and snacks, while the Skeetawk Yurt offers warmth, coffee, and beverages.
