Defiance 50k

The Defiance 50K, 30K, 15K, and 3-Person 50K Relay is a scenic trail running event held in Point Defiance Park, Tacoma, Washington. The course features a 9.75-mile (15.7 km) loop through over 700 acres of old growth forest, including 500-year-old cedars and firs, with panoramic views of Puget Sound. Runners in the 15K and relay complete one loop, 30K runners two loops, and 50K runners three loops, all starting and finishing at Owen Beach.

The mostly single-track trail is about 95% runnable with some hills, typically dry in mid-October. The event offers medals, tech shirts, aid stations, and a supportive atmosphere in one of the top urban parks in the U.S. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
