Race format and participant information
DEKA FIT is a hybrid fitness event made up of ten functional training zones (DEKA Zones) with running segments between zones. Each zone is preceded by a 500 m run, for a total distance of 5 km. The zones start with more basic movements and progress so that zones 6-10 require full-body focus. The listed average completion time is 0 h 50 m 30 s. Heats are offered at multiple intensity levels, from Age Group up to Elite.
Finishers receive a finisher tee, a medal with lanyard, and a DEKA FIT Trifecta wedge (awarded when a participant completes DEKA STRONG and DEKA MILE in the same year). Event results are posted to global DEKA leaderboards. Volunteers may receive race credit valid for specified DEKA and Spartan event heats. A service member discount of up to 20% is available for eligible US military, public safety, and government employees via verification.
