About the race
Dewey Goes Pink, now in its 14th year and known locally as the "Gugie" Run, is a benefitting event staged at The Starboard in Dewey Beach, Delaware. Participants can choose a timed 5K Run/Walk that covers 3.24 miles (the finish line is now on Bayard Street) or an untimed 1.5-mile Fun Walk. The event atmosphere is lively and crowd-pleasing, with live outdoor music and a post-race party.
It typically sells out to about 4,500 participants. Proceeds support the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
