Dirt Monster Trail Race

Dirt Monster Trail Race is a 5-mile cross-country trail race in North Park, McCandless, PA, starting and finishing near the Grant Pavilion on Wildwood Road. The rugged course traverses hilly dirt roads and unpaved single-track trails, featuring a steep hill around half a mile and winding woodland sections before returning to wider paths for the finish. An optional 1-mile trail walk is also offered.

The event emphasizes a no-frills, community-focused vibe: headphones, dogs, and strollers are not allowed to keep attention on the trail. A coed team competition (3–5 runners, at least one man and one woman) adds extra challenge. Proceeds benefit Jeremiah’s Place emergency child care.
