About the race
Dirty Grass Soul Rockin’ and Running 5k is a community road race in Fallston, North Carolina, offering a 5k Timed event and a Student 5k. The course begins at Fallston Elementary School and winds through NC Hwy 18, Charolais Dr., Fallston-Waco Rd., NC 182 (Stage Coach Trail), and Boggs Dr. back to the school.
In its third year, the nonprofit fundraiser donates 100% of proceeds to music education programs in Cleveland County Schools. Benefits include guaranteed t-shirts for early registrants, medals for all finishers, and age-group awards; Student 5k is open to ages 5–17. The race was postponed to July 4, 2026.
