Event overview
The Donut Dash is a themed running event at Kit Carson Park in Escondido on September 27, 2025. The event includes a 5K race with a finisher's medal and event tee, a finish-line festival with a free donut bar (reported as over 1,000 donuts), and a separate Donut Mile competition. - Donut Mile - 1 mile (four laps)
The 5K is a loop course combining trails and bike path. Strollers are approved for the 5K course. Road or trail shoes are acceptable. Dogs are not allowed on the course. The Donut Mile uses a 1/4 mile loop repeated four times; competitors must eat and swallow one regular glazed or cake donut to begin each lap. The Donut Mile is limited to 100 participants, with four waves of 25 people per wave, and has a minimum age of 13. Registration for the Donut Mile is separate from the 5K, though 5K registrants may add the Donut Mile option. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
