Ducky Dash event overview
The Ducky Dash is a charity 5K Run/Walk held on May 16, 2026 at Herrick Lake Forest Preserve, Butterfield Road, Wheaton, Illinois. This is the third annual Ducky Dash and it benefits the NF Network, a nonprofit focused on neurofibromatosis research, clinical care, education, and support. The event includes a best costume award for duck-themed costumes.
Neurofibromatosis (NF) is described by the organizer as a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerves. The organizer notes NF affects about one in every 2,500 births in the United States, is autosomal dominant, and is not contagious.

The 5K course consists of four loops around Herrick Lake and uses the East Shelter area for the start and finish, entered from Butterfield Road. Pre-race packet pick up is scheduled for May 15 at Dick Pond Athletics, 26W515 St Charles Rd, Carol Stream, Illinois. Race day packet pick up is also provided.
