Event overview

Course and rules
The course uses the park trail system and is mostly grass with some gravel and a short paved section. Each loop must be 4 miles 880 feet (6.7056 km) in length. A measured starting corral is used and remains the same size throughout the event; participants must be in the corral at the bell.
Each loop starts exactly one hour after the previous start, with warnings at 3, 2, and 1 minutes before the start; all competitors must start at the bell. Except for restrooms, competitors may not leave the course during a loop. No non-competitors are allowed on the course, and no personal aid is permitted during a loop (common aid stations are allowed). Each loop must be completed within one hour to count, including the final lap. Artificial aids, including trekking poles, are not allowed. Timing of loops is optional. The race is open-ended; the winner is the last person to complete a loop. If no runner completes one more loop than any other, there is no winner.
