Eagle Up Ultra : Canal Fulton, OH
The event is a multi-distance running event held at St. Helena Park in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Distances and formats offered include:
- 24-hour ultra running
- 25K distance (added in 2025)
- Relay teams aiming to reach 100 miles in 24 hours The course is a 5-mile loop that begins and ends at the park and uses local trails and canal towpaths.
Course, services and rules
The loop runs on the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath and the Olde Muskingum Trail, with a short section through the park camping area. Surfaces are packed crushed limestone except the camping area, which is short-cut grass. Road shoes are appropriate. There is one main aid station at the park pavilion. Water is available on course at about mile 1, mile 2.5 and mile 4. The aid station offers sweet and salty snacks, fruit, and hot food later in the day. The event is cupless for water and electrolyte drinks; runners must carry a reusable cup. Pacers may join a runner after that runner has completed two loops; only one pacer at a time is allowed and pacers may use aid station food and drink. Crew may set up within the park; aid station food is for runners and pacers only. Camping in the park is free; RV spaces are limited. Each runner receives one free beer from the event brewery. Finishing medals and buckles are presented on completion of the chosen distance. No refunds; deferrals allowed with full credit up to three weeks before the race.
