Event
The Eastern Oregon Half Marathon presented by Asher Community Health Center takes place in Spray, Oregon on May 23, 2026. The race follows the John Day River Valley and finishes in the town of Spray. It is organized as part of the Spray Rodeo weekend.
Race details
The course begins on HWY 19 north of Service Creek and follows a paved road along the river side of the highway. The finish is in Spray and the course has a 12-foot net rise in elevation from start to finish. Participants run with vehicle traffic on the right side of the road; the highway will not be closed for the race and traffic may be heavy.
Portable restrooms are available at Service Creek and at the 10k starting area; there are no restrooms along the remaining course. liquids are provided at four locations along the route and at the finish. Bus transportation to the starting line is provided from Spray School; walkers are responsible for their own transport to the start. No return transportation is provided.
Registration options and fees are listed: individual preregistration, relay preregistration, and on-site registration with additional fees for shirts; a registration deadline is given to guarantee a shirt. Awards are presented by age and sex category, and official race results are posted online after the event. Parking, camping, and local lodging options are noted.
