Echo Valley is a two-day trail running event on May 30 and 31, 2026, at 1700 Cooper Gulch Road, Chelan, WA. Distances offered:
- 1-mile kids’ race
- 10K
- Half-marathon
- 50K (Saturday only)
Camping is available at Echo Valley Ski Area; tent sites cost $25 per night and RV sites $50 per night. There is a limit of 10 RV spaces, and no RVs over 24 ft or bump-outs are allowed. Hotels and nightly rentals in Chelan and Manson are about a 15–20 minute drive. A multi-race discount applies when one person registers for two adult races in one transaction (15% off the most expensive race). Participants 24 years and under receive a 20% youth registration discount. All finishers receive handmade finisher swag produced with solar power.
Course and logistics
All distances are single loops beginning from the base of the Echo Valley ski area and use winding, runnable single-track trails through ponderosa pine and lupine fields with views toward Lake Chelan. The route includes a long sustained climb early, rolling single track, and a final descent on Waterbar Heaven followed by a short climb on a decommissioned forest road before the finish. Elevation gain: 10K: 1,200 ft, Half: 2,000 ft, 50K: 3,900 ft. Aid stations are placed along each course; 50K runners may leave drop bags for the Yurt Aid Station. The event is cupless: runners must carry a refillable container and are encouraged to carry at least 20 oz of water. Trails remain open to other users during the event.
