Edenton Nut Run
The Edenton Nut Run, held in Edenton, North Carolina, is a vibrant race event that kicks off the 50th Annual Peanut Festival. Taking place at Queen Anne Park, the run offers multiple distances: a 5K through historic downtown, a 10K combining road and trail, and a 15K Nutty Challenge that combines both distances back-to-back. The course features scenic waterfront views, colonial architecture, and stretches of peanut farmland, reflecting the area's agricultural heritage.
Post-race festivities include a parade, kids' sack race, and live porch music, creating a lively, small-town atmosphere. Proceeds support downtown revitalization and historic preservation, making it a community-centered celebration of fitness and local culture.
