Event overview
The Edwardsville Turkey Trot 5K is a Thanksgiving Day running event held in 2025. The event is in its 16th year and has regularly attracted more than 1,400 participants, with a record of 1,788 participants in 2024. Proceeds benefit Edwardsville Neighbors, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides financial assistance to District 7 families in times of crisis.

The event is hosted on the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville campus, centered at the SIUE Student Fitness Center, Lot F, 35 Circle Dr., Edwardsville, IL 62026. Entry fees listed for 2025 include $35 for the 5K and $15 for the Kids Fun Run. The 5K price increases after November 9, 2025. Awards include turkey trophies for Top 3 Male and Female Overall, Top Male and Female Masters (40+), and Top 3 in age groups from 10 & Under to 70+.
