Effingham County Fair 5K

The Effingham County Fair 5K, held in Altamont, Illinois, is a community running event featuring a 3.1-mile run/walk and a 1-mile fun run. The race starts and finishes on the horse track in front of the grandstands at the fairgrounds, with a scenic course that loops around the track, passes through the fairgrounds, and includes two loops on the nearby ACHS/AGS track near Gilbert Park. Participants enjoy music at the start and finish, and water is available on the course.
