Race details
The 10K is a flat, point-to-point course on the Elizabeth River Trail. The course starts at Old Dominion University, runs north along the trail through tree-lined waterfront neighborhoods, crosses the Hampton Blvd Bridge, and finishes in a private park at the Port of Virginia. The course is described as stroller friendly; dogs are not allowed.
There are two water stations on course (near miles 2 and 4) and water, Gatorade, and snacks at the finish. Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 750 registrants and all finishers receive a finisher award. Awards are given by age group, overall, masters, and walkers; prize money is listed for top overall and masters finishers. Parking is available in ODU garages and shuttle buses run from the finish back to the parking garages. Advance packet pick-up is scheduled in Norfolk before race day.
