Embrace the Pace

Embrace the Pace is an inclusive running event held at Liberty Playground in Independence, Ohio. The event features a 5K race, a one-mile run/walk/roll, and a kids’ race with categories accommodating children using various mobility aids. Designed for participants of all ages and abilities, the course promotes community and accessibility.

After the races, an inclusive dance party with free hot dogs is hosted, alongside resource tables, free kinesiology taping, a mobile sensory unit, and accessible facilities. Proceeds support adapted playground equipment and Connecting for Kids’ family programs, fostering support for children with developmental and mental health challenges.
