Emporia Freedom Fest
Emporia Freedom Fest is a series of competitive and community events held annually in November in Emporia, Kansas, to honor Veterans and their families. Founded in 2003 by Emporia Main Street and soldiers of the Kansas National Guard, the festival includes a run/walk, cycling rides, a disc golf tournament, a Norwegian foot march (ruck), and a warrior spur triple challenge. The event is held on the Saturday before Veterans Day and the events start and end at the All Veterans Memorial.

The 2025 in-person event date is November 8, 2025. Registration opens July 1. A virtual participation option runs from Sept 11 to Nov 11. Proceeds support causes such as soldier care packages, scholarships, honor flights for Veterans, and memorial parks. The All Veterans Memorial is located at 931 S Commercial St, Emporia, KS 66801, and features a WWII Sherman tank, a Huey helicopter, a purple heart memorial, and tablets of honor.
