Emporia Freedom Fest Run-Ride-Ruck

The Emporia Freedom Fest Run-Ride-Ruck is an annual event held in Emporia, Kansas, the founding city of Veterans Day. Taking place each November at the All Veterans Memorial, the festival features a variety of competitive and community events including a 5K run/walk, cycling rides, a disc golf tournament, a Norwegian foot march (ruck), and the Warrior Spur Challenge. The course and activities start and finish at the memorial park, which honors veterans from the Civil War through the Gulf War and includes military displays like a WWII Sherman tank and a Huey helicopter.
