Event overview
The Enchanted Forest Ultra Run at Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, CT is a timed trail event offering both a 6-hour option and a 50K distance. Entry is limited to 50 participants. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Entry fees support event production and give some support to local charities. Registration is final; there are no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have a parental/guardian signed waiver. CDC, state, and town requirements are applied.
Course, logistics and services
The course is an irregular loop of 2.3 miles with about 191 feet of elevation gain per loop. Trails include single and double track with roots, rocks, and rolling hills. Course markings consist of signs and flags. The event provides hydration and food options, on-site pizza choices (including pickle pizza), and non-alcoholic beer from a sponsor. Race t-shirts and additional swag are available for purchase; some swag is included with entry. Podium awards are given for the greatest distance covered by the end of the event from 1st to 5th overall; participants who run more than four hours receive an Enchanted Ultra Event Medal. Hiking poles and earbuds are permitted. Dogs are not permitted in the race; an on-leash policy applies throughout the forest.
