End of the Road Half Marathon
End of the Road Half Marathon & One Tunnel 4 Miler is a unique fall race weekend held in Waterfall, Pennsylvania, on the defunct Pennsylvania Turnpike. The event offers two Half Marathons (Saturday or Sunday) and a One Tunnel 4 Miler on Sunday, with a Two-Day Challenge option. Runners traverse five miles underground through Sidling Hill and Ray’s Hill tunnels (headlamp required), then return to above-ground autumn scenery in rolling south-central PA.
The course is traffic-free, running on an abandoned highway for a memorable, atmospheric experience. Special features include Movie Night on the Turnpike, limited fields (about 500 per day), live results, and a warm, small-town vibe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
