End of the Road Half Marathon

Website

The End of the Road Half Marathon & 4 Miler is a unique running event held in Waterfall, Pennsylvania, on the abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike. This historic stretch, bypassed in 1968, features miles of untouched road and five miles of underground tunnels through Sidling Hill and Ray's Hill. The event offers two half marathons on consecutive days and a One Tunnel 4 Miler, with a special Two-Day Challenge option.

Runners experience scenic fall foliage and the eerie atmosphere of unlit tunnels, requiring headlamps or flashlights. Limited to 500 runners per day, the race includes custom swag, awards, post-race refreshments, and a pre-race Movie Night on the Turnpike, making it a memorable autumn race adventure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
