Equinox Marathon

Website

The Equinox Marathon, held annually in Fairbanks, Alaska, is a premier trail running event in Interior Alaska. The challenging marathon features a course that includes a demanding climb up and over Ester Dome twice, with approximately 3,300 feet of vertical ascent. The race starts and finishes at the University of Alaska Fairbanks' Beluga Field and offers a three-leg relay option covering the full course.

Taking place near the autumnal equinox in late September, the event showcases the transition from summer to fall with vibrant foliage. Weather and course conditions can vary widely, and nine aid stations support runners along the route. The race is organized by Running Club North. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
