Courses and distances
The marathon is a point-to-point course that follows Utah’s All-American Scenic Highway 12 from Boulder to Escalante. Noted course features include the Hog’s Back ridge, Calf Creek canyon, Head of the Rocks overlook, the Escalante River crossing, and stretches of limestone slickrock and washes. The half marathon follows the final half of the marathon route; its opening miles include an uphill section followed by a long downhill into sagebrush rangelands bordered by cliffs. The 5K starts up Pine Creek Canyon, runs mostly downhill through forest and farmland, and finishes at the same finish line as the longer races. The marathon and half marathon courses are USA Track & Field certified. Available categories include a 3-person marathon relay. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
