Escalante Canyons Marathon
The Escalante Canyons Marathon is a challenging and scenic race held annually in October in southern Utah. The event features a marathon, half marathon, and 5K fun run, with courses running between Boulder and Escalante along Utah’s Scenic Byway 12, known as one of the world’s most beautiful roads. Runners experience dramatic landscapes including the Boulder Mountains, Dixie National Forest, slickrock terrain, the Hog’s Back ridge, Calf Creek Canyon, and views of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
The half marathon covers the latter half of the marathon course, while the 5K runs mostly downhill through forest and farmland.
